The Multicultural Business Association (MBA) is a Missouri non-profit organization (501) (c)(3) that works to strengthen diverse multicultural-owned businesses and professionals through, education, networking opportunities, capacity building, and advocacy in the Springfield, Greene County region
Whether a small or emerging business owner needs help starting their business, growing their company, or would like more information on federal, state, and local resources to help them succeed, we are here to help connect them to available resources.
We also connect multicultural and diverse business professionals to one another and provides spaces for them to connect with others by establishing a sense of community, belonging, and while developing mutually beneficial relationships with other multicultural professionals in the Springfield region. Such efforts minimize feelings of isolation that some multicultural diverse professionals feel when they relocate to our city.
Many local and regional businesses/individuals support the Multicultural Business Association, as either Corporate Sponsors or contributors. These organizations are prominently recognized on our website (mbasgf.com), in networking sessions, as well as other promotional materials.
Often corporate sponsors initiate their sponsorship relationship with the Multicultural Business Association, by supporting their employees who attend the monthly networking events and programming and/or become individual members of the MBA.
There are lasting rewards for both Multicultural Business Association and its sponsors:
Our members network with other small, emerging, and/or minority business owners and business professionals. MBA seeks to connect our members to the agency’s organization and individuals that can assist with their professional growth.
Through advocacy we explore, adopt, and maintain a uniform model of measurable Best Practices with our local Public Entities and Corporate partners that will promote an environment for minority, emerging businesses to start, grow and thrive.
We provide and promote networking opportunities through our monthly MBA Networking Events, our Community Welcome Receptions as well as our Annual Heritage Awards Banquet. Our Goals: Create and support Diverse Professional Social Networks designed to create engagement and a sense of connection in the Springfield area…
We seek to develop partnerships with strategic community partners that share our desire to educate, uplift, and support our multicultural business owners and professionals by providing appropriate technical and professional assistance.
Sponsorship positively reflects your organization’s commitment to valuing the inclusion of diversity its people, community, and state. Your contributions provide MBA with the ability to be an effective collaborative opportunity for our aspiring entrepreneurs, our existing small and
emerging business community as well as the public and private sector institutions, organizations in our community at large.
